Jordan and the office was great to work. Jordan was very knowledgeable in his work.
Very conscientious, friendly and appeared knowledgeable. Appreciated the helpful communications with Travis!
Minuteman services were awesome to work with, Fair and Honest. Upfront about charges and quick response. Jordan was professional and knowledgeable. Thank you!!! Will definitely be using them for our home needs here on out.
Matt came to change the lights timer and when he finished he took the time to clean up really good after all the insulation fell from the ceiling
Minute Man was quick to come out, gave a free estimate and fixed our fire place without any hassles. From start to finish was a great experience. Will call again!
Jordan at Minuteman Services was fantastic! He came out quickly to fix my mom’s furnace and had it running again in no time. He took the time to explain everything clearly so we knew exactly what was going on and what to expect. Super professional, friendly, and efficient — couldn’t ask for better service. Highly recommend!
We had issues with one of the lights in our office building. I googled places to repair them, and was impressed with the reviews this company had. They were scheduled to come give us a quote on a Wednesday and to our surprise the light was fixed before they were scheduled to come take a look. The repair was done quickly and I was impressed with everyone in the company. So happy with the repair that was Made!
My furnace is getting old and had some issues this year. Minuteman has done maintenance for me since we bought our home. Contacted Jarrod and he sent Jordan out to check things out. They said they could fix it if they needed to, and would recommend to repair it over a replacement, but my preference was just fix it once and for all and get a new one. They gave me a quote including about $6,000 in optional upgrades. After speaking to them, they helped me decide that only a small upgrade of $800 was the best choice for me and my family and my home. I am willing to pay top dollar for the best system available, but they said that a lower price system was actually better for me in my situation. These guys are honest to a fault and absolutely the best at what they do.
I want to give a HUGE SHOUTOUT to Minuteman Services LLC - While my mother was getting her yearly checkup/service on her furnace, she mentioned an issue she was having with her main power connection to her house to the service tech Jordan. Jordan immediately recognized the danger as last winter's ice had completely disconnected ground and also left the main power dangling by a thread. Minuteman Services LLC not only recognized the issue, but got it taken care of both quickly (and correctly) making my Mom's house safe again - and at an ABSOLUTELLY unbeatable price. The honesty, empathy and compassion shown by this company is one that is SECOND to NONE!! I want to personally thank them for the superior job well done!! I highly recommend Minuteman Services LLC for all your HVAC and Electrical service needs!! Thank you again!!
Great to work with and great on follow-up! I had limited time when I did the one-liner above and am now coming back to add more detail. Minuteman did a full HVAC replacement at our home. They did not suggest the full replacement, but I requested it due to the age of our system and the upgrades I wanted. The new system has more functionality with better efficiency and includes a humidifier and an electronic filter. The installers were very professional and respectful in our home. And Travis oversaw the entire process from start to finish including a follow-up software upgrade on our new thermostat. We could not be happier with our new system.
Excellent service!!! Jordan did an amazing job troubleshooting and repairing my furnace. He was timely, professional, and courteous. All of my questions were answered and he took the time to listen to and address all concerns. Very pleased.
Fast response, EXCELLENT service and very affordable pricing 100% recommend!
Jordan came and got our furnace up and running in no time! Professional and knowledgeable. We just started using these guys at the property management company I work for too. Definitely recommend!
Such an awesome team! The promise of great service is easy to get- actually achieving great service - hard to come by these days. FOUND IT! We will be toasty warm this winter THANKS MINUTE MAN TEAM!
Amazing customer service, great to work with! No hidden fees! And very very helpful! Thank you for installing my range hood and gas line!! 🥰🥰🥰
Excellent experience with Minuteman! So happy with my new system. Ultimate professionals. Don’t hesitate!
Very prompt service, extremely knowledgeable staff and courteous interaction.
The employees showed up earlier than scheduled and got right to work. Everything is working wonderfully and they explained everything so I wasn't lost on using new equipment. Definitely would use again. Top recommendations for them. Thanks to all
These guys are great! They respond quickly and are professional. Travis and Jordan were very friendly and informative helping us fix both a blocked drain for the hvac and a gas leak. I would definitely recommend them!
The full experience was exceptional from the beginning starting with them coming out to do an inspection on the furnace for us. They were honest with me letting me know that I could get a little more life out of it but that honesty sold me which led us to an install today. I could not be happier and say enough of how wonderful Minute Man Service is to deal with. Thanks to everyone who was involved!
Had furnace serviced, plus Jordan repaired a gas stove in our basement, one that probably hadn't been running for some time. That took a lot of work, as it had a few problems, thus the reason it hadn't been used in quite a while. Jordan kept us informed as to his schedule and what was needed to get everything up and running. Thanks Jordan!
The men showed up on time and were very courteous. Went straight to work and had the problem fixed in 20 minutes. I was very happy with their work.
Jordan was super friendly and efficient! He did great work and explained everything. Would definitely recommend! We are so thankful for Minute Man services to have found a replacement coil for the AC so we didn’t have to buy a whole new unit yet. Trevor came out quickly after we called asking for a second opinion. He was able to find the leak and helped map out the options we had. He was super friendly and very knowledgeable. I never felt pressure with choosing what option we were given to fix the unit. I was also impress with Jasmine in the office.
Jordan, Matt and Trevor, were great. They were courteous and very professional. They completed needed ducting repair and installed a safety switch. We highly recommend MinuteMan for any HVAC service.
Big shout out to Minuteman Service for installing my new HVAC / heat pump. They were very professional, on time, answered all my questions, and best of all did a fantastic job. I would highly recommend them for any of your heating and cooling needs.

Jordan was fabulous! Explained what was going on, fixed the problem with a smile and was just very helpful. Strongly recommend Minuteman Services and I hope your lucky to get Jordan (though I'm sure all the workers are equally as great). Today, Matt and Trevor came out and put in a new filter system for me and they were fabulous! Very nice guys and great work done!
Jordan was super easy to deal with! Listened well to my concerns and was super helpful! Great customer service and quick service as well!
These guys are awesome!! I was having an issue after hours on a Friday evening, and couldn't get anyone out til Monday, but we talked on the phone, and I was able to fix my problem with some " coaching" over the phone. I kept my appointment for Monday, and I was more than pleased with their tech!! He is awesome, and now I am on a bi-annual service plan!! thank you Minuteman
Great experience from start to finish, from initial phone call scheduled for Tuesday, received call back with opening end of day Friday. Travis was great, very familiar with our unit, diagnosed and fixed the problem quickly. I highly recommend them!
I had a mini split heating and a/c system installed. Travis, Trenton and Alisa were great! The system was installed, tested and running in just a day and a half. They were neat and careful and answered any questions I had. I would recommend them highly!
Jordan was professional. He was able to get to our AC unit quickly and get it back up and running and we will definitely be using him in the future with our HVAC maintenance and repair needs.

If I could give them more than 5 stars I would. Jordan was awesome and had the problem diagnosed and fixed ASAP. we will call them every time for HVAC questions and repairs. Vince Wray
Jordan did an amazing job. I got my gas line in record time, in my opinion, with very little sheet rock disturbance. He cleaned up as appropriate. I now have a fully functioning gas cooktop thanks to Jordan. 👍 Side note, Travis fixed a minor thermostat wiring issue, my bad, during consultation for the gas line, free of charge. Win win for me.
Such great customer support and service! Travis did an excellent job with the yearly maintenance of my heater. He found an issue the home inspector missed when I purchased this place and gave me several options on moving forward. Will continue to use this company for yearly maintenance and the new install of heat and air.
Dual fuel heat pump installation done on time. I recommend this company for their professional work.
MinuteMan is always my go to for HVAC and Electrical work. We got a new AC unit and also moved it from beside our back porch to the side of the house. We got 4 bids to do this work. Only MinuteMan was honest about doing this work. We only have a one stage HVAC system. The other quotes ranged from $14,000 to $16,000. They were insistent that I needed two stage or variable stage units. MinuteMan noted that since our system was a single stage system, unless we were also going to replace our entire HVAC system, those other AC units would just run single stage anyways and thus be a complete waste of money. They also were much more knowledgeable about the code and requirements for running the new systems and avoided having to cut into walls and do very expensive work. I validated everything that they said and it was all legit. The AC system that we got was HALF the price of those other systems. The installation was professional and the crew was amazing. The bidding and communication was also amazing. We also had an in-wall dog door that I needed to install and their electrician installed it for us for a very minimal fee and did an amazing job! This wasn't part of the bid or work, they just did it while they were here and helped me out a TON! You really can't go wrong with MinuteMan. EDIT: Thank you to Jordan, Trevor, Matt, Shane, and Jace!
1st time commercial business customer. Called in after my business AC unit went down. Immediately had Jarod pick up the phone, scheduled me in immediately. Its Friday and had me scheduled Monday morning. Great on diagnostic service rate charge. I had called multiple highly rated HVAC companies previously, no one picked up or responded to my service call request, and lost opportunity to help. Give the little guys a chance, and they come through. Minuteman picked up and won my business, and quickly got me on the schedule. Minuteman will be my call moving forward for any needs. Thank you Jarod, and Tyson my service tech coming out quickly Monday to fix me up.
Travis did a great job fixing our leak with our HVAC. He was helpful in in telling me what he did to fix the issue, step by step.
If needed I would call them again without hesitation. Quick, professional and thorough. They fixed my issues and my house is cool again!! Thank you!
They were quick and professional. Pricing was very reasonable and work was done very well.
Excellent service, replied to texts on a weekend night with advice and a few things to try before coming out and fixing the issue!
Very Professional. Excellent service from beginning to end. Definitely the guys to see for HVAC and Electrical. Very satisfied with our Mini Split Heat pump A/C system.
Shoutout to Minuteman Services today for the quick response for my electrical problem. Ted arrived within an hour of me calling and completed the job of repairing an outlet that was giving shocks when touched. …. not good!! Also replaced another switch that was bad and checked another for me!! Great attention to detail and the repair cost was very reasonable! Thank you Ted and Minuteman Services. I will certainly be using them again in the future!!!

Jordan, Trevor and Jarrod were really helpful installing my mini split
I recently had a heat pump system installed by Jordan and Dylan with Minuteman, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the entire experience. They took the time to explain all of my options, answered all of my questions thoroughly, and provided a clear and fair estimate. The installation process itself was quick, clean, and affordable. The technicians arrived on time, worked diligently, and treated my home with respect. Now that the heat pump is up and running, I’m already noticing a difference in comfort and energy efficiency. It’s quiet, effective, and exactly what I needed. I would absolutely recommend Minuteman to anyone looking to have a heatpump installed.
Travis and his electrician were prompt, courteous, and extremely knowledgeable. They found the problem in my home air conditioner, had the replacement part in their truck and after servicing and total system check I have a functioning system again. The price for parts & labor was less than I expected. I only wish I was able to give them a higher rating than 5. JOB WELL DONE, THANK YOU VERY MUCH, the Taylor Family.
Travis called before he went and was able to repair unit right there and was very knowledgeable & friendly
I can’t say enough about the way you guys came out really quick and did a great job! Five stars for sure! Thank you! I will be passing along to everyone I know!
Travis from Minute Man took care of our air conditioning problems today. We appreciated his patience in explaining different options and helping us find a good resolution. We will continue to call on them for any of our HVAC needs. I would highly recommend Minute Man and Travis to anybody with HVAC concerns.
These guys were awesome . We had another company come out and work on AC twice with no permanent repair. Minuteman was out to check out our system and had located the issue within an hour. They were fair and honest to deal with. We won’t call anyone else in the future .
Travis was fantastic. He fixed our problem quickly and was very fair with his price. We will most definitely call Minute Man again for help when we need it!
These guys are amazing to work with and helped get me setup with a fantastic AC system after I completely failed to DIY the installation myself. They replaced all my faulty equipment and worked very quickly to get us up and running. I cannot recommend these guys enough!!
Great company from the first call to the completion of installation of new fujitsu split level heating and air unit. Jordan & Dillon were absolutely the best! It's so nice to find honest & knowledgeable people!
We have used Minuteman several times now and every time they have been wonderful to work with both for big major things and for regular maintenance
Always have great service with Minuteman. They are thorough and do a great job. Excellent communication and install. Highly recommend for HVAC, mini splits and chimney service.
Ted did an awesome job taking care of my family by installing a new water heater electric power breaker in order for my family to have hot water. Very professional, fast response and clean work! I highly recommend Minuteman Services LLC. for all your HVAC and electrical needs.
Have dealt with Minuteman several times over the course of a few years. They did three new installs on cabins in Island Park. One of the units had issues through no fault of theirs. However they made several trips up to fix it and finally just installed a new unit at no cost to me. Jared always takes my calls and answers my questions. Great young business with a bright future.
I needed to have my AC system cleaned and serviced 2 years after the Minutemen guys installed it. They also installed a new furnace at that time. They were able to come out quickly and were very friendly and efficient. I was surprised that they came out about 2 days after I called them rather than the week or more I usually have to wait for most service companies. I was impressed with these guys when they installed my system as well as for this service call. I highly recommend them to anyone for furnace and AC installation or service and repair.
Excellent service. I have used them multiple times for electrical and heating needs, and have been able to have someone at our house within a few days, if not same day. Will use again.
They did good work at a very competitive price. Travis‘s communication was great throughout the whole process
These guys go work to solve problems, not just get jobs done. They were great and super transparent about pricing and all the work they were doing. Highly recomend! The owner came himself when we had some hiccups and made sure we were taken care of.
Prompt and professional service. Travis was great at explaining the product and timely on bid and scheduling. Jordan and Dylan were awesome at installation. Highly recommend.
I really appreciate your guy coming here to take care of my furnace. He was kind, helpful, and took care of the problem in a short amount of time. I would recommend your services to any. Thank you so much!
We had to replace an outdated heating system. Jordan, Travis and Dillion were awesome. Great customer service. They also helped us get a rebate through our power company. Highly recommended.
Competent. Priced fairly. Professional. Can't say enough good about these guys.

Minuteman Services provides full HVAC installation for new construction projects throughout Idaho Falls, ID. Our team specializes in designing and installing systems that match the exact needs of new homes and light commercial buildings. We start by reviewing blueprints or conducting a site visit to gather accurate measurements and determine system requirements. This allows us to size equipment and ductwork properly so each space receives even airflow and consistent comfort. Oversized or undersized systems lead to higher energy use and shorter equipment life, which is why we get it right the first time. We install forced air furnaces, air conditioning systems, mini splits, and ventilation equipment. Each system is tailored to match your build’s layout, square footage, and energy efficiency goals.
Proper HVAC planning is essential in new construction. Our licensed technicians work closely with builders, general contractors, and project managers to align with construction timelines and avoid delays. We handle everything from duct layout to load calculations, making sure airflow, return air placement, and equipment capacity are all engineered for performance. We also install gas lines, ventilation fans, thermostats, and zoning controls where needed. Our goal is to install a complete, efficient system that’s code-compliant and ready to pass inspection the first time. All our work is done to spec and reviewed thoroughly. We stay on schedule, communicate clearly, and ensure each stage of the installation is done right. You can count on us to deliver systems that perform from day one.
We work with a wide range of heating and cooling systems depending on the structure and the client’s preferences. For homes with traditional layouts, we often install central forced air systems with high-efficiency furnaces and central air conditioners. For multi-zone comfort or homes without ductwork, we install ductless mini split systems with individual air handlers. We also install hybrid systems using heat pumps and backup furnaces for greater energy efficiency. Our technicians are trained in all major brands and system types, including single-stage, two-stage, and variable-speed systems. We can design systems to work with smart thermostats and zoning features. Every recommendation is based on the structure, energy needs, and long-term performance goals of the client.
Testing and final setup are crucial in every new construction HVAC project. Once the system is installed, we perform a full inspection and system startup. This includes checking airflow, refrigerant levels, burner operation, filter installation, and control systems. We balance airflow to each register and verify proper return sizing. If the system includes zoning or programmable thermostats, we test them and confirm proper functionality. We ensure that the furnace, condenser, and ductwork work together as one complete system. We document system specs and provide walkthroughs for contractors or homeowners if requested. Our work is clean, organized, and built for lasting performance.

New Construction HVAC Frequently Asked Questions
Installing a new HVAC system during construction is one of the most important steps in ensuring long-term comfort, efficiency, and system reliability. Proper installation affects energy use, airflow, and future maintenance needs. Working with an experienced team helps avoid common issues and ensures the system is built to last.
A full HVAC installation for new construction includes equipment selection, duct design, and complete system setup. This process typically involves installing a furnace, air conditioner or heat pump, ductwork, ventilation components, and thermostats. A professional contractor begins by calculating the heating and cooling load of the space to choose the correct system size. Undersized systems may run constantly without reaching the desired temperature. Oversized systems may short cycle and wear down faster. The installation also includes running gas lines if required, adding condensate drains, and connecting refrigerant lines. Once everything is in place, the system is tested, airflow is balanced, and all controls are verified for proper function.
The contractor must also ensure the system complies with building codes and energy regulations. This may include coordinating with building inspectors, handling permit paperwork, and ensuring correct ventilation for gas appliances. Ducts must be sealed, insulated, and routed correctly to provide balanced airflow. Return air placement is also important for even circulation and proper system performance. If the system includes zoning, each area must be tested separately to ensure the dampers and controls work together. Before closing out the project, all components are inspected, and any issues are addressed. The goal is to turn over a system that is fully functional and ready to handle daily use immediately.
It’s important to choose a contractor who understands the build process. HVAC work needs to be completed in phases, and communication with the builder helps keep everything on schedule. Delays in HVAC installation can hold up drywall, inspections, and final walkthroughs. At the end of the job, the homeowner should receive a full breakdown of what was installed and how the system works. Proper documentation, warranty registration, and filter size information should also be included. A new construction HVAC system is a long-term investment, and starting with a clean, correctly installed system helps reduce future problems. Maintenance plans are often offered after installation to keep the system working efficiently.
Sizing HVAC equipment for a new build starts with a Manual J load calculation. This process looks at the square footage of the structure, the layout, insulation, windows, ceiling height, and other key factors. It’s not enough to size a system based only on square footage or guesswork. A properly sized system will run long enough to remove humidity and maintain consistent temperatures without overworking the equipment. The calculation determines how many BTUs of heating and cooling the space will require. From there, the technician selects the appropriate furnace, air conditioner, or heat pump to match the load.
Ductwork must also be designed to match the equipment and layout of the home. Undersized ducts restrict airflow and reduce efficiency. Oversized ducts can lower air velocity and reduce comfort. The layout also affects how the system balances air across different rooms or floors. Return air placement is just as important as supply vents. A good layout ensures even airflow and comfort in all living areas. Poor sizing or design can lead to rooms that are too hot or too cold, or systems that wear out early.
In addition to Manual J, contractors may use Manual D for duct design and Manual S to select equipment. These guidelines ensure the full system is engineered properly from end to end. Experienced HVAC contractors will verify the sizing calculations and ductwork layout before installation begins. Final testing and airflow balancing help confirm everything works as designed. Proper sizing is not just about performance, it also affects energy use, comfort, and long-term system durability.
The timeline for installing HVAC in a new construction home depends on the size of the project, the system type, and how early the HVAC contractor is involved. For a standard residential build, installation is typically done in phases. The first phase includes rough-in work, where ductwork, gas lines, and venting are installed before insulation and drywall. The second phase includes setting equipment like the furnace, AC unit, or heat pump. The final phase includes connecting refrigerant lines, setting thermostats, wiring controls, and testing the system. Each step must line up with the builder’s schedule and inspection checkpoints.
If the project is well-coordinated, most HVAC installations follow the framing and rough-in schedule with minimal delays. However, changes to the building plan, delays from other trades, or inspection issues can affect timing. That’s why we work directly with the builder or project manager to stay on track. Having a dedicated HVAC contractor on-site during key stages helps keep everything moving. We communicate clearly about what’s complete, what’s needed next, and what to expect at each step. Our team is used to working within tight timelines and coordinating with multiple crews on-site. This helps ensure a smooth build process with no HVAC-related hold-ups.
The total number of hours spent on-site can vary, but good planning makes a big difference. We start with accurate load calculations and duct layouts to reduce guesswork and rework. Equipment is ordered on time, and inspections are scheduled properly. Final startup and testing usually happen near project closeout. We make sure the entire system is tested, balanced, and working as designed. When HVAC is installed in phases and with the right planning, the entire process runs smoothly and on schedule.
Hiring an HVAC contractor during the early stages of construction ensures the system is planned correctly from the start. When HVAC is treated as an afterthought, the result is often poor airflow, inefficient layouts, and delays in the build schedule. Involving an HVAC team early allows for better coordination with framing, plumbing, and electrical work. It also allows for ideal placement of ductwork, return vents, outdoor equipment, and control systems. The contractor can identify conflicts early and avoid costly rework later in the project.
An HVAC contractor can also help builders and homeowners choose the best equipment for the space. This includes selecting between gas furnaces, electric heat pumps, ductless systems, or hybrid setups. Equipment should match the structure’s energy goals and long-term usage needs. The contractor also helps plan for zoning, ventilation, and smart thermostat compatibility. When HVAC is integrated into the building process, everything fits and functions the way it should. The system performs better and is easier to maintain.
In addition to the technical benefits, early HVAC planning helps keep inspections on track. Building inspectors check for proper duct sealing, clearance to combustibles, and correct venting. Getting it right the first time avoids failed inspections and costly delays. With HVAC installed correctly, drywall can go up on time, and the final walkthrough can move forward without last-minute fixes. Choosing the right contractor upfront means fewer problems later and a better experience for everyone involved in the build.
The best HVAC system for a new home depends on the structure, climate, insulation, and homeowner preferences. Common choices include forced air furnaces with central air, heat pumps, and ductless mini split systems. Each system has benefits depending on the layout of the home and energy goals. Central systems are common for traditional floor plans and offer even heating and cooling throughout the home. Heat pumps are efficient and provide both heating and cooling from a single unit. Ductless systems are ideal for zoned comfort or homes without space for ductwork. The right choice should be based on load calculations, energy efficiency requirements, and homeowner budget.
We help builders and homeowners weigh the pros and cons of each system during the planning phase. Ductwork, vent placement, and electrical capacity all influence system selection. For example, homes with multiple levels may benefit from zoning or variable-speed equipment for more control. Ductless systems offer flexibility for additions, garages, or rooms with limited space. We also consider local energy rebates and smart thermostat compatibility. Once a system type is chosen, we design the install for clean routing, proper airflow, and long-term durability. Every recommendation is based on performance, maintenance, and long-term value for the home.
Working with an experienced HVAC contractor ensures the system matches the structure. A poorly chosen system may struggle to heat or cool certain rooms and lead to high energy bills. That’s why we start with accurate sizing, layout planning, and full discussions with the client or builder. We can also plan for future upgrades like air purifiers, whole-home humidifiers, or surge protection. The goal is to provide a system that meets current needs and supports comfort for years to come. Choosing the right HVAC system from the start helps avoid costly changes later. Our team ensures the best fit for every home we build with.
Yes, smart thermostats can be installed in new construction homes and are often easier to set up during the initial build. Since wiring is still accessible and equipment is being installed fresh, our team can ensure the thermostat is compatible with the HVAC system from the beginning. Smart thermostats allow homeowners to control temperature from their phone, create schedules, and track energy usage. Many models also integrate with zoning systems and voice assistants like Alexa or Google Home. We install both Wi-Fi-enabled and learning thermostats based on homeowner preferences and system compatibility. Choosing the right thermostat depends on the type of HVAC system and how much control the homeowner wants. Compatibility is key to avoid issues after installation.
We help builders and owners choose a smart thermostat that works with the system’s staging, zoning, and voltage requirements. Some models only work with low-voltage systems, while others need a common wire (C-wire) for power. During new construction, it’s easy to run this wire to ensure future compatibility. If a system has multiple stages or zones, the thermostat must be able to control each one accurately. Our team configures the settings during startup, making sure each feature works properly before the final walkthrough. We also train the homeowner or builder on how to use the thermostat. This ensures the system is easy to manage and helps reduce energy use.
Installing a smart thermostat during the build also avoids the hassle of rewiring or drywall work later. The device blends into the finished space and is ready to use on day one. If the homeowner upgrades HVAC components in the future, the thermostat may need adjustments, but the main setup is done during construction. Builders often include smart thermostats in upgrade packages to offer more value. Our team ensures the install is clean, configured, and tested. We make smart control simple from the start of the project.
Ductwork design plays a major role in HVAC system performance, especially in new construction where everything is built from scratch. Proper duct layout ensures even airflow, reduced energy loss, and consistent room temperatures. Poor duct design can lead to pressure imbalances, noisy operation, and hot or cold spots throughout the home. During the planning phase, we create a duct design that matches the system size and the layout of the structure. This includes supply and return vent placement, duct diameter, and total system length. Every bend, branch, and register affects how the system performs. A properly designed system improves energy efficiency and comfort.
We start by calculating the heating and cooling load for each room. This determines how much airflow each space needs to stay comfortable year-round. Duct sizing is based on these calculations, and we route ducts in the most direct, efficient way possible. We avoid long runs, tight bends, and undersized trunk lines that restrict airflow. We also make sure return ducts are properly placed to avoid pressure issues and keep air moving evenly. Duct sealing and insulation are also important to prevent heat loss or gain, especially in attics or crawl spaces. Once installed, the system is tested and airflow is balanced.
Well-designed ductwork helps reduce system wear and tear over time. If airflow is restricted, the furnace or air conditioner has to work harder to push air, which can lead to early failure. Balanced airflow also prevents short cycling and keeps temperatures steady across the home. We verify all airflow at startup and make adjustments if needed. Investing in proper ductwork from the start saves money and avoids comfort issues later. That’s why we treat duct design as a core part of every new construction HVAC install. Our team builds it right so the system performs as expected from day one.
The final HVAC inspection is an important step in the new construction process. It ensures that the heating and cooling system was installed according to code and works properly. Inspectors look for proper duct sealing, secure equipment mounting, correct venting, and proper electrical and gas connections. If any part of the system does not meet code, the inspector will issue a correction notice that must be resolved before occupancy. We prepare each system for this inspection by reviewing every connection, verifying airflow, and checking equipment clearances. Our team also confirms that safety devices and shutoffs are installed correctly. This step ensures the HVAC system is safe and ready for use.
Before the inspector arrives, we perform our own system walkthrough and make final adjustments. This includes checking refrigerant levels, burner operation, thermostat programming, and airflow balance. We also inspect filter installation and drain lines to ensure nothing was missed. If the inspector finds a code violation, we respond quickly to make the correction and schedule a re-inspection. In most cases, our systems pass the first time due to careful planning and attention to detail. We also label panels and registers clearly for easy inspection access. The goal is to ensure the system meets all local and state requirements.
Once the system passes inspection, the builder can proceed with closing steps like drywall finishing, painting, and final walkthroughs. A passed HVAC inspection also gives the homeowner peace of mind knowing their system is code-compliant and built to last. We keep records of all inspections and make sure documentation is available if needed later. Having a clean, professional installation makes the entire process smoother. Our team is experienced in meeting inspection requirements and making sure everything is ready on time. We handle the details so you can focus on finishing the build.
